When I stop to listen, children have the most creative ideas! When I pause to see, my heart can’t help but be touched by their artistic minds!
Today’s demonstrated themes were Fury and Anger! We explored common ways of encountering these emotions and brainstormed ideas of how to manage their intensity.
Emotions are resources for us to understand the bigger picture and recognize context. It’s alright to feel any emotion, but how one responds should become deliberated with caution as how one reacts can cause a domino effect of outcomes. This is important to remember with intense emotions.
Feeling Angry about a situation is a problem solving opportunity (Anger function: Identifying a Problem). What next? Write a letter? Artistic expression? Make a plan of action?
The multiple platform delivery, engagement of different learning styles, and generating individualistic ways to relate the content to one’s life promotes abstract thinking and objectivity.
