Before I summarize today’s final group demonstration of the bi-weekly pre-release of The Emotional Advantage (First Edition) Volume Two (All Ages), please allow me to express how grateful I am to every person, group, and organization for participating in the curriculum for the past nine months. Your feedback has played an instrumental part in measuring the curriculum’s validity and effectiveness of scope and trajectory. I feel very blessed to continue learning and celebrating creativity with you. Appreciate your ongoing support and interest.
Today’s demonstrated themes were Grateful and Ambitious!
Practicing gratitude has many benefits. Being proactive about finding a reason to feel grateful is so powerful it causes a chain reaction to the way one sees and interacts with the entire world through a more positive lens, producing a feedback loop of kindness. This is important because extreme levels of happiness never last forever and phenomena referred to as hedonic adaptation decreases enjoyable emotions associated with any stimulus over time. Ambition has both positive and negative implications depending on whether values align with one’s aspired outcome.
