Today, I woke up and thought “I’m going to do exactly what I want, and not let any task stand in my way as a barrier from striving for bigger and better things!” And, you know what happened?… Everything! I’ve completed most of the tasks I usually avoid and more! I even had enough time to pursue some artwork for The Emotional Advantage for Adults, still pending a release date, before the all ages version releases tomorrow.
Most define success as a try=succeed process. I’m here to tell you success isn’t linear. There will be trials, errors, and failures, sometimes misconceived as negative. But they’re not. In fact, these things serve as the stepping-stones to achievement.
Today, I chose to invest in seeing the bigger picture, as well as, facing the truth. I was using small tasks I know I can complete to procrastinate pursuing bigger ones I feared to fail at. Fear and failure, two emotions most avoid feeling at all costs. Unfortunately, this only magnifies their influence on every choice one makes. Perceiving trials, errors, and failures as stepping-stones decreases the power fear has over the choices one makes. Therefore, making it easier to visualize traveling across the rocky waters of determination towards accomplishing one’s next goal.
The Emotional Advantage can help one learn how to invest in finding a placement value for every emotion in the formula of life, redefining all of which occurs between trying and succeeding to see the bigger picture and process.
